The Land of Lost Content is the worlds largest archive of 20th century popular culture. This online resource is the result of a lifetime of collecting by Stella and Dave Mitchell, who house their collection in the wonderful LOLC museum in Craven Arms Shropshire and a lifetime of building a design research and inspiration resource by Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway from their Red or Dead days through to HemingwayDesign.
We browsed through thousands of items and picked out the very best to be scanned and photographed to create a virtual library that we are now starting to share with the world! From magazines to mail order catalogues, packaging, household items, nic naks, memorabilia, the prints we put on our walls, clothing and popular culture of the 20th century, all these have all helped us build up a visual library with over two hundred thousand images.
We have now paired up with My Blank Space and hand picked the best graphics and bold coloured images to bring out the best of Perspex Art.
You too can now get your hands on a bit of history and treasured memories brought to you with a modern twist!

"My friend and partner in The Land of Lost Content, Stella Mitchell, can't stay away from charity shops, car boot sales and auctions .She's on a mission for the nation .Collecting, saving, documenting and scanning anything culturally significant from the 20th century .It's an expensive job.
Every item of this Land of Lost Content collection sold will help with "Feeding Stella's Habit", a very wholesome habit that continues to build a history of popular culture for us all.
Thanks for contributing to saving British cultural history for posterity."
